Frequently Asked Questions
Why was the event postponed: The water quality for the swim was unhealthy and would not have cleared in time. The repairs required to transition and roads were unlikely to be completed by 23 March.
What happens to qualification for the Worlds: Given the rescheduled date is outside the selection window for qualification, together with AusTriathlon, we have moved the Standard Distance Qualifier to the Byron Bay Triathlon on Sunday 27 April 2025. Â
What happens to the Oceania Championships: AusTriathlon is considering options and will advise in the next few days.
Should I cancel accommodation and airflights: We suggest you check your options to request a new booking and know what the cut off dates are.
What happens to my entry: Every entry will be transferred to the new Kingy Tri date.
Can I get a refund: Refunds will be processed in line with our Terms and Conditions.
